Was started in 1966 by Carl A. Swenson. Carl was initially a piggyback agent for the Lehigh Valley Railroad and later provided ramping services at the Reading Railroad's Port Reading, N.J. ramp. Carl A. Swenson Jr. joined the company in 1973, driving trucks, and later dispatching as operations expanded to include serving the port of New York and New Jersey. Norman, after graduating from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and completing active duty, joined the company in 1983. Carl Sr. retired in 1986.
